I feel as though I’ve been having the same conversation with The Bear since last November…He has been somewhat confused by the similarity between the ‘Fibro’ portion of Fibromyalgia and the separate condition of Fibroids (which have plagued my womb, on and off, for well over a decade…)
Regardless of how I broke it down, or what analogies I used, there would always be a point (usually when I’m in the midst of a flare) where he would be convinced that rest and recuperation are bad for me, and the best way to treat fatigue is to encourage further exhaustion. (Wait, what…?)
As talking has been a bit of a failure (and because The Bear is more visual than wordy), I decided to create this infographic – a basic overview where what would have been a wall of text is broken down into digestible chunks, and where the shapes are seen before the words.
I really hope this last ditch attempt works. I think I’m going to print it out and stick it to his pillow…
